Get ready for a celestial spectacle! The Geminid meteor shower, renowned as one of the most reliable annual showers, is expected to peak between December 13th and 14th.

Why McKaig? McKaig Nature Center offers a dark sky location, perfect for meteor watching.

Event Details:

• Date: Saturday, December 13th Note: Second date added Dec 12

• Time: 7:30 PM

• Meet-up: Roberts Elementary School parking lot

• Viewing Location: We'll drive to a nearby optimal viewing spot overlooking the McKaig woods. Sky map included.

• Donation: A $10 per adult donation; children under 16 free.

• Preparation: Please bring a flashlight (for walking, not for viewing during the show), a beach chair or blanket, and dress warmly.

• Important: Pre-registration and a signed waiver are required.
