The Fête de la Musique, also known in English as Music Day, Make Music Day, or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on June 21st. On Make Music Day, citizens and residents are urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks. The library is organizing performances around the Norristown Area. Check back for the schedule. Email Jeanne at JCove@mclinc.org if you would like to perform or get on the schedule with your own business or place of worship. You could also organize some neighbors for a front yard concert. All ages, genres, and abilities are encouraged to participate. We've had everything from student violinists to professional guitarists and full choirs.
